    By whom was he declared as the top driver? When is he competing next ? How old is he ? What trophy did he win ? Where did he learn driving ?

     

    Which is his favorite car ? Who is sponsoring him ? Which country does he belong to ? Among which competitors did he win ? What are the factors which made him such an expert driver ? And so on.

    • February – I’m in love with my site and regularly keep browsing it for rechecks. In the second week of the month I got another shock of my life when i noticed – I named my “Site Title” as “Sem Consultant” instead of ‘SEM Consultant”.

     

    I made such a stupid mistake ? What kind of impression have I given to the whole world about myself by doing so ? However, I corrected the error immediately.

     

    Use “upper case” for abbreviations. Who knows – maybe the robot might take “Sem” as a spelling error for the word “Same”. Maybe it won’t.

     

    Because you don’t have stupid robots, you have stupid human beings, though. But then why not correct something which I can and play it safe ?

     

    • March – Right in the beginning of the month I found another careless mistake which I had made. 1 word in two of my “page titles” was restated twice for the 4th web page and thrice in the 11th. Can’t believe this.

     

    Try removing duplicate and repeated words in such areas regardless of whether it is an article post or a standard page. Such practices need to be completely eliminated.

     

    • April – I corrected the only 2 major faults I had on my site. Wonderful. Let’s go through it again and try to be prouder than before. What ? This is so embarrassing.

     

    My gravatar image is linked to my gravatar profile. That’s the default setting and I never bothered to change the default setting. Hurry Hurry – Remove that before the robot sees me again.

     

    Don’t create links through pictures.

     

    • May – First three weeks gone and no fault detected so far. Bingo. I’ve hit the jackpot. I’m a pro now. After all now i’m fully convinced that iv’e produced a perfect website.

     

    But in the last week during a regular check – Again ? This can’t be true. Two of my pages contain zero links.

     

    No outgoing, incoming or internal linking ? Ok, repair this now, immediately. Create those.

     

    So – Add a few worthwhile and relevant links. This is an important element. Try your best to do so if you really want to improve chances of achieving a higher position and ensure decent visibility on the SERP’s.

     

    • June – Ya, I think it’s done now. That’s it. I don’t need to recheck. Take it easy. I’m 100% sure I’ve created a great website. After all I’m not building a site for the crawlers. It’s for users, to assist them in making a sensible purchase. But then why not have a repeat look.

     

    Alarm Bell. There is “no hyphen” in between words in 1 of the slugs and 1 meta tag on another web page !

     

    Well – Hurry Up. Correct it soon. Quick. All set now.

     

    Remember adding a hyphen in between the words inside the meta tags and slugs, necessarily.

     

    • July – What more can there be ? I’ve double and triple checked everything. Isn’t it ? But then I want to reconfirm. ……. I knew it. After all what could I expect from myself ?

     

    I had changed the page address for one of my social media accounts last week.

     

    But I forgot to update the outgoing URL to that network from my site and now it is showing an error after I click on it.

     

    And I thought I made a perfect website ! Lol. Ok, rectify that fast.

     

    Try fixing broken links wherever possible and noticeable. Procuring high quality backlinks, can assist in getting closer to number one rank on Google and Bing.

I swapped the descriptions in two of the pages, after copying and pasting from my MS Word file, by error.

     

    Those two are SEO-unfriendly since the last few months and I didn’t even notice.

     

    The page which is providing info on Google Ranking Factors has a meta description for one on Social Media Marketing, and vice versa.

     

    And not only that – Due to this fault, the particular text paragraphs are now keyword stuffed, amounting to Spam. C’mon. Set the Key phrases right.

     

    Careless mistakes like key phrase stuffing, spam and writing irrelevant content have to be avoided, at any cost.

    • September – Let’s check the Headings … They’re okay. Thank God. For a change. No mistake. I had marked all the starting headlines as “H2” during the site construction process, as my WordPress theme generates an auto H1 tag in the titles.

     

    I know that those plugins create the best chance of high online positioning but – You can take the horse to the pool but can’t make him drink.

     

    Avoid having multiple “Text Headlines”, if possible.

     

    • October – Leave it now. Don’t bother. That’s enough. Who cares ? There’s no limit to this after all. It’s not possible to build a perfect website. i’ve understood now. But wait. My friend just pointed out something. It has nothing to do with optimization, however. But I think he’s right. He mentioned that i’m not clarifying “what i do and why” properly. I need to tell the visitors how i can help them. And some of the site colors and images could be changed for better responsiveness, a higher conversion and a lower bounce rate.
